Thuppakki 14 Days Collection reach 135.6 Crores

It's not just Bollywood films that are making their way into the elite Rs 100 crore club in 10 days. Ilaya Thalapathy VIJAY's 54th Movie & AR Murugadoss's film 'Thuppakki' has not just become a blockbuster down South, but the film has also set the cash registers ringing at the box office. 'Thuppakki' has become the second Tamil film ever to enter the Rs 100 crore club in 10 days. The official page of 'Thuppakki' on Twitter confirmed the news, which was later retweeted by director AR Murugadoss, "Yes bullets, it is now officially confirmed that #Thuppakki has crossed the 100cr mark! It is only the second Tamil film ever to do so."
The film, which was released on Diwali, has turned out to be the biggest hit of 2012 by earning Rs 78.32 crores in the opening week. The film reached Rs 135+ crore mark in just 2 weeks of its release. Thuppaki is next to Endhiran collection in just 2 weeks... This movie will Break Enthiran records soon... Thuppaki 1st week collection 79.32 Crores

Vijay-starrer Tamil action-thriller "Thuppakki" collected Rs.79.32 crore worldwide in its opening week.
"The film collected Rs.79.32 crore worldwide in the first week. In Tamil Nadu, 'Thuppakki' raked in Rs.40 crore and above in the first six days and it continues to run to packed houses. It is also doing good business in neighbouring states such as Kerala and Andhra Pradesh," trade analyst Trinath told IANS.
The film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, opened on Diwali, Nov 13, and hit over 2,000+ screens worldwide.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "Thuppakki" collected Rs.1.18 crore in Britain, Rs.1.76 crore in the US and Rs.37.99 lakh in Australia, in its opening weekend.
The movie's story is about a captain from the Indian army, played by Vijay, who is on a vacation in Mumbai and gets involved in a terrorist scheme, which turns out to be bigger than anticipated.
Kajal Agarwal, Satyan, Mano Bala, Vidyut Jamwal and Jayaram feature in key roles in the film, which has music by Harris Jeyaraj, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Thuppakki has become the Biggest hit of 2012. Thuppakki has taken the Kollywood Box Office by storm. Director A.R Murugadoss is going to remake Thuppakki in Hindi with Akshay Kumar in the lead role.

With Thuppakki turning out to be a huge hit, all Vijay fans want a sequel Thuppakki 2 from Vijay and Murugadoss. Vijay was asked about Thuppakki 2, today morning at a talk show and he answered “I have said to the same thing to Murugadoss”

Also in the movie Jagdish(Vijay) finishes the mission at the end of Thuppakki and returns to his border duty, without getting married to Nisha. So the story itself suggest there may be a sequel to the movie.It will be treat all Vijay fans if Vijay and Director A.R Murugadoss plans to make Thuppakki 2. Lets all keep our fingers cross and hope Thuppakki 2 will happen.
